Mark Kane

Mark’s DJ journey evolved alongside the UK underground dance music scene, emerging from the early hard house and hard trance sounds of the ‘90s before finding his home in breakbeat. He became a regular behind the decks at some of the era’s most iconic clubs, including Turnmills, Bagleys, Fabric, Ministry of Sound and Space Ibiza. Performing as Kane & Able, DEF Inc. and Soulshake, his eclectic musical palette spans breaks, house, hip-hop, drum & bass, electro, progressive, psy, world music and chill-out.

As a producer and DJ, Mark released music on labels including Botchit & Scarper, Finger Lickin’ Records, Born Idle, 777, Spin Out, and Pirate Breaks, while holding residencies at London’s legendary C64 breakbeat parties and New York’s Jet Lounge. His sets have always been defined by infectious peak-time energy, blending dancefloor bombs with deeper grooves, technical precision and just the right amount of musical mischief.

For Good Vibrations Society, Mark returns to his breakbeat roots for a heavyweight late-night session packed with rolling basslines, ragga-infused grooves, hip-hop swagger, chunky breaks and uplifting, funk-soaked rhythms. Expect deep bass pressure and bouncing energy, weaving together classic influences with his own productions into a set designed to keep the forest grooving long after dark.

Away from the decks, Mark’s work is equally rooted in connection and transformation. Following decades of spiritual practice, he facilitates medicine ceremonies in Sussex and beyond, while also building regenerative finance technologies designed to unlock capital for climate restoration and regenerative impact projects around the world. Whether through music, community or innovation, his passion remains the same: creating experiences that bring people together and make life a little richer.

Catch Mark on the Warren stage, Friday 31st July, 01:00–02:00. Follow him on SoundCloud.
